The Whistleblowing Regulation, also known as whistleblowing legislation, establishes a legal framework for the protection of whistleblowers in companies. It obliges companies with more than 50 employees, both public and private, to implement secure and anonymous channels for employees, suppliers and partners to report, without fear of retaliation, any irregular activity.
A whistleblower channel is a system implemented by organizations to allow employees, suppliers and other stakeholders to confidentially and securely report any type of irregularity, misconduct or policy violation within the company. These systems guarantee anonymity and protection against retaliation for whistleblowers.
